Ottawa firefighters say they extinguished a fire at a Manor Park home on Saturday. According to a statement from Ottawa Fire Services, crews were sent to the scene of a fire on Martin Avenue near Blasdell Avenue at approximately 10:23 a.m. Firefighters say they arrived to find that power lines were down on the home’s driveway, and a neighbouring home was exposed to the fire. No occupants were in the building, and fire crews were able to protect the nearby structures that were at-risk of catching fire. Ottawa paramedics say they attended the scene but did not treat any patients. The fire was declared under control at 11:08 a.m. and an Ottawa Fire Services investigator is working to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
