Barrie Police are hoping the public can identify several people after a collision took place in the early hours of Sept. 5, in a southeast neighbourhood. At around 4:20 a.m., police were summoned to Crimson Ridge Road about a vehicle that had collided with a concrete lamp post. Witnesses reported seeing four men abandon the extensively damaged vehicle and head north on Crimson Ridge Road toward Golden Meadow Road. It’s unknown whether they continued on foot or got into another vehicle to leave the scene. Officers and the K9 unit searched the area to locate the men and confirm their well-being to no avail. Anyone who witnessed the crash, observed the vehicle or the four males, or has video surveillance or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident is asked to contact Barrie police.
