Barrie’s splash pads closed until further notice, says city staff

If you’re looking to beat the heat at a Barrie splash pad this week, you might have to wait.

The city announced that both of its splash pads are closed until further notice.

Officials say staff are investigating flooding at the splash pad in Lampman Lane Park, while major repairs are underway at the Heritage Park water feature.

No timeline has been provided for a reopening.
