A 38-year-old woman from Nova Scotia’s Lunenburg County is facing charges after police allegedly caught her driving a stolen car in Bridgewater, N.S. A patrolling officer noticed a suspected stolen vehicle on the west side of town after midnight on Sunday. The vehicle, a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta, was travelling in the Bridgewater Business Park. “While mobile, police ran a check on the vehicle’s licence plate and, as a result of the check, the vehicle was confirmed stolen from a Lunenburg County address,” reads a news release from Bridgewater police on Tuesday. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the corner of King Street and Logan Road. Three people were in the Jetta. Police say an adult woman who was driving and a 65-year-old man in the passenger seat were arrested at the scene. Alanna Brown is charged with: She has been remanded in custody and was scheduled to appear on Monday in Bridgewater provincial court. Police have yet to name the man, but say he’s also from Lunenburg County. He faces one count of possessing stolen property and was released from custody on conditions.
