Halifax firefighters responded to a structure fire on Pintail Lane in Timberlea, N.S., at approximately 7:47 p.m. Saturday, said a social media post from Halifax Professional Fire Fighters. Firefighters from station 65 in Upper Tantallon arrived to find the house on fire with “defensive fire conditions,” said the post. Additional resources were dispatched and the fire was escalated to a second alarm because of its severity. The scene remained active into Saturday night and people were asked to avoid the area.
