VICTORIA - VicPD has a man in custody after what police are calling a serious assault Saturday afternoon, which left a woman badly injured.
Officers were called to the 100-block of Gorge Road East after neighbours found a woman in the hallway. She was rushed to hospital with significant injuries, where she remains.
Police tracked down a suspect, and arrested a 40-year-old Victoria man without incident.
Officers are recommending charges of aggravated assault, uttering threats and forcible confinement. He's expected to appear in court today.
