There were no reports of damage after a 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck near Ucluelet Tuesday morning.

The quake struck at 9:08 a.m. eight kilometres northeast of the western Vancouver Island community.

It happened at a depth of 37 kilometres and tremors were felt in Ucluelet and Port Alberni, according to Earthquakes Canada.

The agency said there were no reports of damage and none would be expected.
