Winnipeg firefighters were called to the scene of a serious blaze early Monday morning in North Point Douglas. Just after 5 a.m., several WFPS units battled heavy billowing smoke and flames on Sutherland Avenue. A sign on the property showed the lot as a part of Mother Earth Recycling. As of 6 a.m., traffic on Sutherland Avenue was closed from Main Street to Maple Street. CTV News has reached out to the city for more information.
