A pilot was treated at the scene after a small plane crashed on approach to a private airstrip in the Parkland region, RCMP say. The plane clipped a small tree and flipped while attempting to land in the Rural Municipality of Mossey River. Winnipegosis RCMP responded to a report of the crash just after 3 p.m. on Tuesday. The scene was just west of Highway 20 on Highway 269, RCMP said in a news release. Local firefighters and paramedics also responded. Officers learned the Cessna 150 fell short of the runway, breaking its front landing gear and causing the plane to flip. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has been notified.
