A Friday morning crash on the highway leading to the Canada-U.S. border resulted in a road closure for several hours and one person being airlifted to hospital. According to RCMP, a two-vehicle crash on Highway 75 at the intersection of Provincial Road 201, approximately 54 kilometres east of Winkler, happened around 7:45 a.m. A STARS Air Ambulance spokesperson said one person was transported to a Winnipeg hospital in serious condition. Mounties said the northbound lane of Highway 75 and the westbound lane of Provincial Road 201 were closed, with traffic being diverted through Letellier. Shortly before 10 a.m., Manitoba 511 reported the road had reopened. CTV News has reached out to RCMP for more information.
