Warning: The following story contains spoilers for the latest episode of “The Amazing Race Canada” A pair of Manitoba brothers competing for the grand prize on season 12 of “The Amazing Race Canada” were eliminated a week before the finale. Winnipeg’s Sacha and Sébastien Régnier were knocked out of the race on Tuesday night’s episode, which saw the final four teams travel from Saint John, NB, to Winnipeg. Teams then travelled to Gimli, where they competed in an Icelandic word spelling bee. From there they made their way to Winnipeg in search of the Dale Hawerchuk statue to find their next clue. The pairs then picked between two detours—one involving calculating wind chills at Portage and Main and another requiring teams to learn a Red River jig. The episode continued in Winnipeg with racers facing challenges at Activate, RRC Polytech, and ending at the Lower Fort Garry National Site. The Reignier brothers are described as adrenaline junkies who spend all their time together. During their time on the show, they proudly represented their Red River Métis heritage and the French Manitoba community. For next week’s finale, the final three teams head to Alberta for one last showdown.
