A 35-year-old man has been charged following a random stabbing Saturday night. According to Winnipeg police, officers were called to the 1-99 block of Israel Asper Way at 6:30 p.m. for a reported stabbing. Police say the victim, a man in his 20s, was stabbed by an unknown man while waiting at a bus stop. He was taken to hospital in stable condition. The suspect ran from the scene, but was arrested a short time later on Forks Market Road. The suspect was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and failure to comply with the conditions of a release order. He was detained in custody. The charges have not been proven in court.
