Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a fatal crash in Wilmot Township. On Saturday, just before 5 p.m., a grey Toyota and white Honda collided at the intersection of Bridge Street and Diamond Road, west of Bright. Police said the driver of the Toyota was a 70-year-old woman from Wilmot. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Four people were travelling in the Honda. Police said the driver, a 24-year-old man from Kitchener, and two of his passengers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other passenger had life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital outside the region. Police are still investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
