A 66-year old man has been arrested following two violent sexual assaults in Windsor. Police were called to the 1000-block of Goyeau St. around 11 p.m. on July 31 after a woman reported that she accompanied a man to his home where he became aggressive. The victim told officers that she was tied up, struck with a metal bar, punched, threatened with a knife, robbed and sexually assaulted multiple times. He also threatened to kill her if she told anyone what happened. Members of the Windsor Police Service Child Abuse and Sexual Assault (CASA) Unit identified the suspect who they said was linked to a second incident earlier in the day when a woman reported she was touched inappropriately in an elevator. The charges include sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, assault, robbery and uttering threats to cause death.
