Some residents in the town of Midland Ont. awoke Thursday morning to an unusual visitor. Cellphone footage captured by residents shows a moose on a stroll in a park along the waterfront in the Bayshore Drive area. The town put out a social media post, asking residents to avoid the area. “Please do not attend the area to view or photograph the animal,” the town warned. “Moose are wild animals and can be unpredictable if they feel threatened. If you are in the area, keep a safe distance and allow the animal space to move safely,” the town says. Shortly after noon, the town confirmed to CTV News that the moose was safely tranquilized and transported by the Ministry of Natural Resources to Crown land.
