The Town of Kingsville is set to begin phragmites control with pesticides next week. Beginning Aug. 19, weather permitting, spraying will be done along rural roads. This will continue until Oct. 30. Spraying will be done once to kill the invasive species, then in the late winter or early spring, it will be mowed. The town said pesticides to be used include VisionMax Silviculture Herbicide, Arsenal Powerline Herbicide, and Habitat Aqua Herbicide.
