The City of Windsor is informing drivers of more upcoming lane closures at E.C. Row Expressway and Banwell Road. Work is currently underway on the Banwell Road/E.C. Row Expressway Interchange and Corridor Improvements project in Windsor. It is one of the largest infrastructure projects (approximately $120.5 million) in Windsor’s history. City officials say the complexity of the project will result in continued impacts to traffic flow in the area, with the city and contractor working to mitigate inconveniences and impacts for drivers throughout the project’s lifespan. Eastbound and westbound E.C. Row Expressway/County Road 22 will have alternating lane closures from east of Lauzon Parkway to west of Lesperance Road to accommodate removal of temporary structural supports for the bridge overpass. The remaining lane for eastbound E.C. Row Expressway will remain open at all times. It is planned from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., ongoing until Friday, Aug. 28, and from Monday, Aug. 31, until Friday, Sept. 4, 2026 (weather permitting). GIP Paving Inc. is doing the work.
