A marijuana dispensary in Langford was shut down for the second time in the past month.

Green Tree Medical Dispensary on Granderson Road was shut down by police for the first time in January, one day after it opened for business.

It re-opened its doors illegally on Monday.

On Wednesday police arrested two people and seized an undisclosed amount of marijuana products.

Langford’s Mayor Stew Young previously said the shop had no business licence or application.

According to employees, the dispensary has tried in the past to apply for a licence from the city but was refused.

The investigation into the most recent closure is ongoing.

It’s not the only pot shop on Vancouver Island to be raided by police this week.

Nanaimo RCMP shut down a marijuana dispensary that was next door to a daycare on Monday.
