Recognize this man? Indecent act suspect sought by Kamloops RCMP

The Kamloops RCMP released this image of a man they say is suspected of committing an indecent act on May 29, 2026.

Mounties in Kamloops, B.C., are trying to identify a man who allegedly committed an indecent act in a thrift store last month.

The incident occurred at around 11:30 a.m. on May 29, according to authorities, who described what a female shopper told police happened at a shop on the 900 block of Columbia Avenue West.

“She felt someone staring at her and turned to observe a male allegedly masturbating in the aisle near her. When the suspect realized the woman had seen him, he fled,” a statement from Kamloops RCMP said.

Police have not been able to identify the man and released a photo Tuesday in an attempt to advance the investigation.

The suspect is described as a white man, standing 6’ tall with a medium build, brown hair and a brown beard, and he is estimated be around 30 years old. When he drove away from the thrift shop, he was behind the wheel of a late-model silver Honda Civic.
