Employee sexually assaulted in Kamloops liquor store: RCMP

Police in Kamloops say a man sexually assaulted a liquor store employee in late June, and are appealing to the public in hopes of identifying him.

Kamloops RCMP explain the man entered a liquor store on the Trans-Canada Highway on June 26 and, “after cashing out, allegedly reached around the counter and grabbed an employee’s buttocks.”

Police said they’re unsure of whether the man left the liquor store parking lot on foot or got into a vehicle.

Kamloops RCMP have released a security photo of the man in the liquor store as part of their public appeal.

“The suspect is described as bald, with medium skin, approximately 40 to 50 years of age, wearing a yellow T-shirt, blue jacket and grey pants,” police said, in a statement.
