Police in Surrey are looking for suspects after an early morning shooting left a victim with minor injuries. The incident occurred around 3:50 a.m. Wednesday near a home in the vicinity of 60 Avenue and 177 Street in Cloverdale, according to a statement from the Surrey Police Service. Front-line officers responding to the scene found two people who had been shot at, police said. One of the victims was uninjured, the other was “an adult male” who had “an injury that did not require medical intervention,” according to the SPS. The suspects fled the scene before police arrived, and no arrests have been made. The SPS said its major crime section has taken over the investigation and is working with Integrated Forensic Identification Services to process physical and digital evidence at the scene. “The investigation is in its early stages; however, it is believed to be targeted and not extortion related,” the SPS statement reads. Police asked anyone with information about the incident to call the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 26-85268 (SP).
