Toronto police have now released an image of a suspect vehicle wanted in connection with two firearm discharge incidents targeting two separate locations of the same popular Jewish-owned bakery. Police were notified about the shooting incidents at two Kiva’s locations on Sunday morning. The first incident occurred at the location at Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue West at around 11:15 p.m. on Saturday. Police allege a dark-coloured SUV pulled up and moments later, the front glass of the bakery shattered and the vehicle fled southbound on Carpenter Road. The bakery was closed at the time and no injuries have been reported, police said. The second incident occurred at the location near Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue West at around 12:15 a.m. on Sunday. Investigators have now released an image of the SUV that is believed to be involved in both shooting incidents. “The investigations are being led by the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force, with support from the Hate Crime Unit, to identify those responsible,” police said in a news release. “The investigations include an extensive video canvass of both areas.” Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash or security camera video of the area to contact investigators at 416-808-2510.
