Police will be providing an update this morning on last week’s shooting at the U.S. Consulate in Toronto, the second shooting incident at the University Avenue building in 2026. The latest incident, which occurred at around 4:45 a.m., comes about four months after the building was struck by gunfire in another shooting on March 10. Police Chief Myron Demkiw will speak alongside Chief Supt. Joe Matthews at a news conference at Toronto police headquarters. The update will be held at 11 a.m. and will be streamed live on CTVNews.ca, the CTV News app, CP24.com and the CP24 app.
