A 54-year-old man died after a tractor-trailer rolled on top of him at an industrial site in Scarborough, police say. It happened just before noon in the area of McNicoll Avenue and Tapscott Road. Police said they responded to the area for reports of a person being injured by construction equipment. They said in an update later on Wednesday that the man was making repairs on a tractor-trailer at the time. Paramedics said there are no other injuries reported. In a statement to CP24, the Ministry of Labour confirmed it has been notified of the workplace incident and said an inspector has been assigned to investigate. “As the investigation is ongoing, no further details are available at this time,” the statement reads.
