A 47-year-old woman has been charged with second-degree murder after a man was found dead in Green Lake, Sask. At around 10:35 p.m. on July 21, officers were called after an injured man was reported in the northern village, located about 210 kilometres northwest of Prince Albert. Arriving officers found 46-year-old Michael Lafond outside a business on McIntosh Avenue. EMS attended the scene and declared him dead. Police say his family has been notified and victim services have been made available. A woman was arrested on 3rd Avenue in Green Lake in connection with the investigation. Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit took over the case. Following the investigation, 47-year-old Angela Kusnezoff of Green Lake was charged with one count of second-degree murder. Kusnezoff is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on July 23.
