The City of Saskatoon says it is establishing a new corporation that will bring SaskTel Centre and TCU Place together under one organization. In a news release sent Thursday afternoon, the city said the new corporation will manage the operation of the two city-owned venues, which support community events, tourism and local businesses. “Applications are now open for qualified, committed individuals to serve on the inaugural Board of Directors,” the city said. The city is looking for people with experience in areas including governance, strategic planning, human resources, finance, law, risk management, marketing and business strategy. Board members will help provide oversight and strategic direction for the organization. Applications are open from Oct. 1 to Oct. 16.
