Humboldt, Sask.’s Paige Crozon will once again don the maple leaf on the basketball court, this time in Tokyo. Canada Basketball has announced the four-woman roster for the FIBA 3X3 Women’s Series stop in Tokyo, Japan, Aug. 1-2. Crozon will be joined by Cassandra Brown of Vernon, B.C., Katherine Plouffe of Edmonton, Alta, and Merissah Russell of Ottawa, Ont. The 31-year-old Crozon represented Canada at the 2024 Olympics, leading the Canadians to a fourth-place finish in Paris. The Humboldt product is also the manager of the Living Skies Indigenous Basketball League, a cost-free Saskatchewan program aimed at growing the game among 11 to 17-year-olds in the province. More than 3,500 athletes have taken part since the league was founded in 2021. Crozon and Team Canada’s games can be watched on FIBA’s 3X3 YouTube channel.
