A 31-year-old Saskatoon man is facing several charges after police seized a loaded shotgun, ammunition and fentanyl during a firearm investigation on the city’s west side. Saskatoon police guns and gangs unit arrested the man shortly before noon on Tuesday in the 1500 block of 20th Street West. Police say the suspect tried to flee on foot but was quickly taken into custody. During the investigation, officers seized a loaded sawed-off .410-gauge shotgun, .410 ammunition and 1.56 grams of fentanyl. The man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, two counts of breaching court-imposed conditions and multiple firearms-related offences.
