A Saskatoon man with a history of spying on women is about to be released, police say

The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) is alerting the public about the upcoming release of a man with a lengthy record of voyeurism and related offences.

In a safety advisory issued Thursday morning, Saskatoon police say Kyle Ronald Hameluck, born Nov. 12, 1988, will be released from the Saskatoon Provincial Correctional Centre on Feb. 14 and is expected to live in Saskatoon.

Hameluck has been convicted of 70 offences, including voyeurism, indecent acts and trespassing at night.

Although he will be subject to several court‑ordered conditions, police say they are releasing his name and photo “in an abundance of caution” due to concerns he may reoffend.

Hameluck is described as five-foot-10 inches tall and 155 pounds, with brown, balding hair and green eyes.

He also has several tattoos of mushrooms and one of railroad tracks.

Hameluck was convicted of voyeurism in 2017 and 2020, and most recently last fall after pleading guilty to 23 counts of voyeurism and two counts of breaching probation.

He was sentenced to two years and 10 months but, with credit for time served, had about seven months left to serve in custody.

His sentence was among the longest handed down for voyeurism alone.

At the time, Crown prosecutor Leslie Dunning said there is little case law involving repeat voyeurism offenders.

“The maximum I found was two years,” Dunning said in an October 2025 interview. “A lot of those cases were in conjunction with, other offenses, other sexual related offenses, which bumped those sentences a lot higher.”

As part of his probation, he is banned from owning a phone or any electronic device capable of taking photos or videos.

He also has a 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew for the first year.

Saskatoon police were not available for an interview, but one expert in the policing field says Hameluck would face consequences if he violates his terms of release.

“Police aren’t going to be doing full time surveillance on him, but they’re going to be watching him and if they see him out past a certain hour or in a place he shouldn’t be, they’re going to arrest him and lock him up again,” said Chris Lewis, CTV’s public safety analyst.

Police say if a person is aware of any violations relating to Hameluck’s actions, do not approach and notify them immediately.
