Motorcyclist airlifted to trauma centre after Perth East collision

A motorcyclist has been seriously hurt after a collision in Perth East.

Around 2 p.m. on Friday, Perth County emergency services responded to the collision of an SUV and motorcycle at the intersection of Line 47 and Perth Road 107.

The motorcyclist, identified as a 36-year-old from Shakespeare, suffered serious, life-threatening injuries. They were airlifted to a trauma centre.

The other driver, an 87-year-old from Stratford, sustained minor injuries.

The intersection was closed for several hours but reopened around 2 a.m. Saturday. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
