Saskatchewan RCMP is asking the public for help finding an inmate who didn’t return to White Spruce Provincial Training Centre after a work shift in August. Phoenix Shingoose, 24, was last seen on Smith Street East in Yorkton between 12:50 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Aug. 4, 2026, according to a media release from RCMP on Friday. RCMP say Shingoose is now charged with one count of being unlawfully at large, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. He’s described as five feet seven inches, 250 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair. RCMP say he was last seen wearing orange coveralls and a grey shirt. He has several facial tattoos, including the word RARE below his left eye. Shingoose is known to travel to Yorkton, Kamsack, Cote First Nation and Regina. If you see him, RCMP say not to approach him, but to report all sightings to police, or anonymously to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
