The Ottawa Titans will be moving on to the Frontier League’s semi-finals after taking down the New Jersey Jackals in a 6-0 victory on Saturday night. Ottawa’s Taylor Wright helped the team pull ahead with a three-run homer in the third inning, meanwhile pitcher Eric Parddinho posted six shutout innings. With their win on Saturday, the Titans swept the Jackals and earned the club’s first-ever best-of-three playoff series victory. The Ottawa baseball team will now go on to the Atlantic Conference Championship Series where they will meet the New York Boulder, who defeated the Québec Capitales on Saturday to advance. The best-of-five series begins on Tuesday at Clover Stadium in Pomona, New York. Game 2 is also scheduled for New York, while game three will be held at Ottawa Baseball Stadium on Friday. If necessary, Games 4 and 5 will be held at Ottawa Stadium next Saturday and Sunday.
