One more day of cooler weather before a sunny stretch in Ottawa

Ottawa can expect one more day of below-average temperatures before a sunny stretch this week that will warm things up.

Environment Canada’s weather forecast for the capital calls for a high of 8 C on Tuesday, about five degrees cooler than normal for this time of year, with a 30 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon.

Ottawa has seen more than 90 millimetres of rain so far this month.

The forecast includes a 30 per cent chance of showers in the evening and an overnight low of 3 C, which is closer to seasonal norms after a few mornings with negative temperatures.

Wednesday’s forecast is partly sunny with a high of 13 C.

Thursday and Friday are both looking sunny with highs between 14 C and 15 C.

There is a chance of showers in the forecast on Saturday.
