A motorcyclist was critically injured after colliding with a vehicle in Ottawa’s south end on Sunday afternoon, according to paramedics. Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson Tyler Leslie tells CTV News crews responded to multiple 911 calls reporting the crash at the intersection of Hunt Club Road and Cahill Drive at approximately 2:40 p.m. The lone rider of the motorcycle, an adult male, suffered “multi-systems trauma” and was transported to the Ottawa Hospital’s trauma centre, he said. The driver of the vehicle, an adult female, was also assessed on scene but not taken to hospital. Ottawa police say it is too early to provide additional details but say road closures will be in effect for several hours. Police officers remain on scene as of 4 p.m. Police are asking the public to avoid the area and to expect significant traffic delays.
