Nearly 1,000 racers took part in the 45th annual Terry Fox Run at Kinsmen Park Sunday morning. The run raises money for cancer research. “We’re honouring Terry’s goal, keeping the dream alive,” said event organizer Darrin Park. “He said if he couldn’t finish, it has to continue without him, and we’re doing that.” As of Sunday afternoon, the event had surpassed its fundraising goal of $155,600. “It’s never too late to donate. You know, anytime, just go to terryfox.org, and your money here in Edmonton stays in Edmonton,” said Park.
