Montreal police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday in the borough of Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles. Police received a 911 call shortly after 4 a.m. reporting that gunshots had been heard near a commercial building between Avenue André Ampère and Rue Paul-de-Maurel. Bullet impacts were found on the building and on a vehicle parked nearby. No one was inside the business at the time of the shooting, and no injuries were reported. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. Witnesses were interviewed at the scene, which remains secured as the investigation continues.
