A 24-year-old man is hospitalized after an attempted murder in Montreal’s Ville-Marie borough early Saturday. Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call around 3 a.m. after an altercation between two groups outside restaurant-nightclub Yoko Luna near Rue de la Montagne and Saint-Catherine Street West. The man was injured with a sharp object and suffered serious upper-body injuries. He was transported to hospital in serious condition and is now in stable condition, police told CTV News. The suspect is a man between 25 and 30 years old. He fled the scene when police arrived. Police established a perimeter at the scene and are interviewing witnesses as they investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
