A sunny Friday before rain and the possibility of thunderstorms move into the region for the weekend, according to CTV News meteorologist Julie Atchison. “It’ll be a beautiful afternoon with full sunshine, high pressure in control,” Atchison says. Friday will reach a high of 26 C before conditions turn wetter heading into the weekend. Showers and the possibility of thunderstorms are expected throughout the weekend, with the heaviest rain forecast for Saturday evening. Rain is expected to taper off Sunday afternoon. Temperatures will also drop to a high of 19 C on Sunday, bringing cooler-than-normal conditions to the region. Monday will see a high of 21 C with a 40 per cent chance of showers. A mix of sun and cloud is expected Tuesday through Thursday, with temperatures returning to between 23 and 24 C.
