Ontario Provincial Police say the body of a swimmer reported missing in Lake Huron at Pinery Provincial Park has been recovered. Lambton County OPP said officers were called to the park shortly after 1 p.m. on Aug. 26 after receiving a report that a 28-year-old person from Scarborough had gone missing in the water. Police said beachgoers located the swimmer’s body on Aug. 27. OPP thanked several agencies and organizations that assisted in the search, including the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, the Anishinabek Police Service, the Walpole Island Police Service and staff at Pinery Provincial Park. No further details were released.
