A temporary road to a city golf course will remain in place until next month as a precaution. An Edmonton city councillor says the makeshift route to the Mill Woods Golf Club will remain there until the end of July. Last month’s heavy rainfall caused Mill Creek to spill over its banks, flooding 44 Avenue, the golf course’s regular access road that runs through Jackie Parker Park west of 50 Street. After Epcor closed the road, the golf club coordinated the construction of a temporary one constructed of rig mats at a new entrance off Granlea Crescent to the south of its parking lot. Ward Karhiio Coun. Keren Tang says while no structural issues were found, Mill Creek remains high. She said the situation regarding the road will be reevaluated in August.
