According to Tourism Cowichan, the Quamichan Inn has been nestled in Cowichan Valley for more than a 100 years. Viewer Tim Owen told CTV News the property was opened as an inn by his parents Sheila and Archie Owen in 1969 and was a private residence before then.
It’s unclear what started the fire, but it appears as though no one was injured.
