Winter weather coming to Calgary for rest of the week

Calgary can expect snowfall through Saturday before spring weather returns next week.

Get ready for three more days of winter.

Calgary will see on-and-off snow through Saturday, with most of the snow slated to fall Wednesday night and Thursday.

There was lots of melting on Wednesday which has created icy spots. Gusty weather will bring low visibility, which combined with fresh snow on top will make for treacherous driving conditions.

Expect five to seven centimetres of snow Wednesday night, and another five to seven centimetres Thursday.

A few flurries will bring about a centimetre of snow on Friday, with two to four centimetres expected Saturday. Daytime highs are expected to stay below freezing for the rest of the week, but spring weather will return on Monday.
