It remains warm in Calgary, and you should enjoy it while you can because next week will be packed with winter weather.

The warmth will build even more on Thursday as we climb into the double digits.

Expect a good amount of cloud cover to start the day, clearing out later in the morning as winds pick up to 40 km/h.

Temperatures will start slowly declining through the rest of the week.

Highs should remain above freezing until Sunday.

Next week will be wintry.

Snow will be on and off starting Monday night, and daytime highs will quickly dip well below freezing.

So enjoy the false spring we are having right now!

From what I can tell, the spiral cloud looks like it was caused by the contrails from an airplane, combined with wind shear (change in wind direction with height).

Definitely a photo to frame.
