Calgary police say a prolific offender wanted on 10 outstanding warrants has been arrested. Logan Donald Smith, 29, is facing 32 charges ranging from possession of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property to possession of a defaced firearm and carrying a concealed weapon. He was released from custody in July but was then observed “actively breaking into a construction site and stealing electrical wire,” police said. The incident took place at a home under construction in the 4800 block of Voyageur Drive N.W. on Sept. 16. Officers took Smith into custody, seizing a sawed-off shotgun with a defaced serial number along with ammunition. He remains in custody and is scheduled to next appear in court on Thursday.
