One last day of springlike weather until cold returns to Calgary

There’s just one more day of warm weather before temperatures plunge again in Calgary.

It will be a little cool to start in the city on Friday. There will be lots of clouds as the temperature hovers around the freezing mark and a cool wind comes out of the northeast.

In the afternoon, the sun will peek out, and the winds will shift to come out of the west, bringing the temperature up to the mid-teens.

On Saturday, the jet stream will slump south and hang out over southern Alberta. This will drag in clouds and a little moisture, starting out as rain and switching to light snow to bring about one centimetre of precipitation.

This weather pattern change will also bring in a cooler airmass, with just a high of 2 C expected Saturday.
