An apartment building in the northeast Calgary community of Skyview Ranch was evacuated early Monday morning. The Calgary Fire Department (CFD) was called to the 200 block of Skyview Ranch Road N.E. and found a fire inside a unit on the third floor. The CFD said one person was inside the apartment at the time and the fire activated the building’s sprinkler system. Officials evacuated the whole building, forcing about 100 people out. All the residents were allowed to return later, except for the occupant of the suite involved in the call. No one was injured in the fire.
