Edmonton’s Kingsway Mall has been acquired by a Montreal real estate company. “Kingsway Mall represents the kind of asset that has always been central to Westcliff’s approach: a well-established property, deeply rooted in its region, with the ability to serve its community for generations to come,” Westcliff president Alan Marcovitz in a press release. The company said it would be working with Kingsway Mall’s current management to ensure a “smooth transition” for tenants and shoppers. The 81,759-square metre shopping centre in north-central Edmonton was built in 1976 and hosts more than 160 stores and services. Kingsway will be the only property Westcliff currently owns in western Canada.
