Thousands of child car seats sold in Canada and the United States are being recalled due to an issue with the headrest. According to a recall issued by Evenflo and published by Transport Canada, more than 6,200 units sold in Canada that were manufactured between February 2025 and June 2026 were affected. “On certain child car seats, the adjustable headrest may change position in a crash when installed in forward-facing mode with the headrest in positions 10 or 11,“ Transport Canada wrote in its recall. ”Canadian regulations require that the position of the headrest remains the same.” The company said the model numbers for the affected products in Canada are CS260212521C (Brookline) and CS260212538C (Danvers) and were sold between March 2025 and present day. Evenflo said no injuries have been reported in connection with the issue. The company advises that consumers may continue to use the seat in forward-facing mode with any headrest position other than 10 or 11, or in rear-facing mode with any headrest position other than 11. Consumers can contact Evenflo to obtain a free remedy kit and instructions for how to install it. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced nearly 60,000 Evenflo child seats were affected in their recall.
