School bus with students on board slides into ditch

Police attended the scene of a school bus that had slid into a ditch on a slick road in Innisfil Wednesday morning with students on board.

South Simcoe police say the incident happened on Gilford Road around 7:15 a.m.

“A school bus caught the shoulder of the road, and slid into the ditch,” police explained.

Authorities say the bus was travelling at a slow speed at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.

A secondary school bus arrived to transport the students.

No charges were laid.
