Portions of Yonge Street were shut down in Innisfil due to multi-vehicle crash

A multi-vehicle crash that sent a woman to the hospital shut down sections of Yonge Street in Innisfil on Monday.

Police say three vehicles including a transport truck and SUV collided just after 11 a.m. and one person with minor injuries was transported to the hospital as a precaution.

The road was closed for almost three hours, but reopened at 2 p.m.

According to fire officials, one person was extricated, but declined medical attention.

It is unknown the condition of the third person involved in the crash.

Yonge Street was closed between the 4^th Line and 5^th Line as well as between Sideroad 10 and Sideroad 20.

The investigation remains ongoing.
